COVID-19 SAFETY

Nancy Dance Studio is enacting the following policies for the safety of our dancers, their families and our staff. It is our #1 priority that students have a safe and fun environment to dance in, whether that’s at home or in the studio. These policies are in place until further notice. We will follow the health and safety guidelines from the Governor, as well as Duval County Health Department and the FL Department of Health & Human Services, and will adjust our policies as needed per their guidance. Guidelines will be posted on our doors.

MASKS AND FACE SHIELDS

While masks are no longer required, we strongly recommend those unvaccinated to continue to wear them when unable to socially distance. We also, encourage the use of masks as you enter and exit the building through the lobby.

LOBBY

Although, the lobby is open, we strongly encourage parents not to gather in the lobby for the duration of their students class. We are still currently using ZOOM for our Pre-K, VPK, and Kindergarten classes. This allows for parents to watch from the comfort of their car or home to help keep our Lobby clear. Please be advised this is not for students to use to attend class. Zoom log in information can be received from the front desk. If utilizing the lobby, we strongly recommend those unvaccinated to wear a mask.

SANITIZE YOUR HANDS

All dancers and staff will sanitize their hands as they enter the building. Hands will be sanitized when leaving and entering each room or area of the studio.

CLEAN BETWEEN CLASSES

Staff will clean and sanitize all equipment and hard surfaces between each class, at the end of each night, and at the start of each day.

BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE

Dancers will need to bring their own water bottles to class and keep them in designated, distanced spots. Sharing of water bottles is strictly prohibited.

REPORTING AN EXPOSURE

If a student or a member of their family has been exposed to COVID-19, the studio should be notified immediately via phone call or email. Our staff monitors all lines of communication throughout the day and notices will be received immediately via phone call or email.

CLOSING FOR A SIGNIFICANT OUTBREAK

If and outbreak occurs, the studio will close for cleaning immediately. A professional cleaning team will deep-sanitize the studio. Families will be notified via email and social media of the closure and expected reopening date. If the outbreak is for an extended period of time, we will transition to ZOOM classes for the closure.
